- review shapes we discussed in class: circle, square, triangle, rectangle
- these shapes are 2D because they are flat
- they only have length and height
- 3D shapes have length, height and width
- Introduce Cubes and Spheres
- discuss the difference between a square and a cube
- find a cube in your house
- discuss the difference between a circle and a sphere
- find a sphere in your house
- take a picture of each and send to Mr. Neufeld
- If you have your package, complete the worksheet that asks you to circle the cubes and spheres and X out other shapes.
Wilderness Wednesday
Spiders
- Go outside and look for a spider.
- observe the spider
- Discuss: What is it doing? Where does it live? Why does it set traps all over the yard? Can you count its legs? Can you see its eyes?
- In your Journal, draw the spider and what it was doing.
- write a sentence that matches your drawing.
- Take a picture of your picture and send it to Mr. Neufeld
